Two people were killed and others injured in a crash Sunday morning near the Cook County Jail in Little Village.
Just after 5 a.m., two vehicles collided in the 2600 block of South California Avenue, according to Chicago police.
One person was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where they were pronounced dead, police said. Another person was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital.
A 37-year-old woman who was driving one of the vehicles was hospitalized in serious condition, and a male was in critical condition, police said.
The Chicago police Major Accidents Unit is investigating the crash.
