Two people were hospitalized after being shot in East Garfield Park late Friday night, according to Chicago police.
Two men, 33 and 35, were in the 3500 block of West 5th Avenue at 11:59 p.m. when a white SUV approached them and someone inside fired shots, police said. The 35-year-old was shot several times and taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition; the 33-year-old was shot in his right leg twice and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in fair condition.
No one is in custody.
