A 2-year-old girl was found safe Wednesday evening after she was abducted at gunpoint by her biological mother and two other people earlier that morning on the South Side, police say.
The trio broke into a home around 4:50 a.m. in the 4800 block of South Michigan Avenue and took the 2-year-old, according to Chicago and Illinois State Police.
They then fled with the girl in the stolen SUV, Chicago police said. Illinois State Police, in a statement, said the girl was taken by her 22-year-old biological mother and “two unknown males.”
The girl was found safe and uninjured Wednesday evening, according to a Chicago police spokesperson.
No arrests were reported.
Anyone with information should contact Chicago detectives at 312-747-8380.
