3 arrested in more than a dozen burglaries in North Hollywood

Three people accused of being part of a coordinated burglary crew in North Hollywood that targeted over a dozen homes and businesses over the last three months have been arrested.

The burglaries occurred in the North Hollywood area between Jan. and March, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a social media post earlier this month. During the investigation, officials said, detectives identified a pattern in the string of burglaries that led to the arrests of two male and one female suspect in late March.

Doorbell and security footage show at least two suspects outside a home and carrying a large boltcutter. Details about the suspects, the type of items stolen, or how the burglary crew operated were not released.

The three face 25 felony charges including 16 counts of burglary, 7 counts of grand theft auto, one count of felony evading, and one count of criminal threats.

Police said the suspects were homeless and following their arrest, told police they committed the crimes to “fund their drug use.”
