Three people were injured, two of them critically, in a car crash Thursday night in the Avalon Park neighborhood.
A 62-year-old man was driving east on East 86th Street in a white sport utility vehicle about 8:20 p.m. when he hit a white sedan that was traveling north on South Stony Island Avenue, Chicago police said.
The man and a 63-year-old woman in his car were both taken in critical condition to University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.
The 18-year-old man driving the sedan suffered minor injuries and was taken in good condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
No citations have been issued. Detectives are investigating.
