Detectives were on the lookout for a gray car a gunman jumped into after shooting and badly injuring three people Monday morning on the West Side.
Two men and a woman were outside in the 3400 block of West 15th Street around 10:10 a.m. when a gunman approached and opened fire, Chicago police said.
A 28-year-old man was shot in his back and neck and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was in critical condition, police said.
A 27-year-old woman was shot in the abdomen and was taken to the same hospital in serious condition, officials said. A second man, 29, was shot in the arm and was also taken to Mount Sinai where he was in serious condition.
The woman and older man’s conditions were stabilized, authorities said.
The gunman got in a gray sedan and fled north, police said.
