3 teens charged with armed robberies on South Side

Three teenage boys have been charged with committing multiple armed robberies and a carjacking Thursday across the South Side.

The five separate incidents happened between 6:30 and 7:10 a.m. in the Grand Boulevard, Oakland, South Shore and Washington Park neighborhoods, Chicago police said.

The three boys, ages 13, 16 and 17, all face the same charges: one felony count each of vehicular hijacking, attempted armed robbery and aggravated battery. They’re also each charged with three felony counts of armed robbery with a firearm and four felony counts of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon.

According to police, the incidents happened at these times and locations, and involved the following victims:

The boys were arrested later Thursday morning in the 13000 block of South Ellis Avenue, police said.
