Police were looking for a red SUV that fled the scene after a drive-by shooting that left three teenagers wounded early Tuesday in Chatham.
The victims, a 13-year-old boy, a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl, were in the 7900 block of South Maryland Avenue around 12:25 a.m. when a red SUV with two people inside approached and opened fire, Chicago police said.
The 13-year-old was shot in the left foot, the 14-year-old in the left ankle and the 16-year-old in the right foot, police said. All three were taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition.
No one was in custody and Area 2 detectives are investigating.
