About 2:25 a.m., the four were standing on a sidewalk in the 4200 block of North Knox Avenue when occupants of a dark-colored sedan opened fire, Chicago police said.

A 24-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and groin area and he was taken to Community First Hospital before he was transferred to the Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition, police said.

Another man, 25, was shot in the buttocks and leg and was also taken to Community First before he was transferred to Illinois Masonic in good condition, officials said.

A third man, 20, was grazed in the arm and another 24-year-old man was grazed in the neck, authorities said. Both were taken to Illinois Masonic in good condition.

In the four years Erick Bravo has owned his car detailing business SkinzTek, 4265 N. Knox Ave., he says the area is mostly safe with a few isolated incidents.

Bravo, 33, was concerned customers would see the attack on the news and think twice about coming to his shop.

“It leaves a bad taste in people’s mouths,” Bravo said. “I’m just kind of hoping that this doesn’t deter people from coming to the area.”

Area Five detectives are investigating and no one was in custody.
