At least six people, including four children and one teenager, were injured Thursday morning in a residential fire on the West Side, according to the Chicago Fire Department. Officials said four are critically injured.
The fire took place on the third floor of an apartment building in the 5600 block of West Adams Street in Austin.
The six injured people were hospitalized, the Chicago Fire Department said. Those in critical condition include at least two children and one adult, according to officials.
The fire was limited to a single third-floor unit, the department said.
