At least six people were injured over the weekend in crashes across Denver, according to the city’s police department.
Denver police responded to a two-car crash near West Sixth Avenue and Perry Street early Sunday morning, according to a 12:46 a.m. post on X by the department. Paramedics took two people to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The intersection is on the edge of Denver’s Barnum, Barnum West and Villa Park neighborhoods.
The cause of the crash was not available Sunday, but police said Perry Street was temporarily closed in both directions for the cleanup and investigation.
Later Sunday morning, just before 6 a.m., Denver police posted about a second two-car crash near Chambers Road and East 53rd Avenue, on the border of Green Valley Ranch and Montbello.
Paramedics took one person to the hospital with unknown injuries, police said. Additional information about the crash was not available.
Denver police also responded to two early morning crashes on Saturday.
A two-vehicle crash near West Eighth Avenue and Speer Boulevard, on the edge of Denver’s Lincoln Park and Civic Center neighborhoods, injured two people, police said in a 5:21 a.m. post on X.
A second crash involving one vehicle near East Sixth Avenue and Quebec Street sent one person to the hospital, police said on X at 1:11 a.m. Saturday. That area is at the intersection of Denver’s Lowry Field, Hilltop and Montclair neighborhoods.
Both Saturday crashes shut down the involved roads for hours during the investigations, police said.
Information about the cause of the crashes and whether any citations were issued or arrests made was not available on Sunday.
