A 9-year-old boy and a woman were seriously hurt by a group of attackers Monday afternoon in South Deering on the Far South Side.
The group confronted the pair — who were walking — and hit them multiple times just after 3 p.m. in the 10600 block of South Bensley Avenue, Chicago police said.
Both were taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital where they were listed in serious condition, police said.
No arrests have been made.
Area 2 detectives are investigating.
