Actress Tara Reid alleges she was drugged at Rosemont hotel

Actress Tara Reid was hospitalized after she said she was drugged at a hotel bar in Rosemont, according to statements by Reid and Rosemont police.

Rosemont police said they responded to a call of a medical emergency at the DoubleTree hotel around 12:39 a.m. Sunday. Reid, 50, filed a police report with the department Tuesday afternoon, police said.

“The Rosemont Public Safety Department understands the severity of the allegations being reported and are committed to investigating this incident fully, the statement said. “At this point, we are in communication with the hotel to gather as much video surveillance as possible.”

In an interview with TMZ, Reid said she had gone to the hotel bar to have a cigarette and drink, when she encountered YouTubers in the lobby. She went to smoke and returned to find a napkin over her glass, which she said she didn’t recall putting there, and later fell ill after having more of the drink.

She said she was hospitalized after the incident and attended a fan event after being released. A representative for Reid didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

“Tara is recovering and asks for privacy during this traumatic time,” the statement provided to E! read. “She also urges everyone to be careful, watch your drinks and never leave them unattended, as this can happen to anyone. She will not be making further comments at this stage.”
