A self-styled ‘African tribe’ has been banned from returning to the ‘kingdom’ it had set up on private land in the Scottish Borders.
The group, led by Kofi Offeh, 36 – who calls himself King Atehene – had been camping in woodland near Jedburgh.
He created the ‘Kingdom of Kubala’ there with his wife Jean Gasho, 43, who calls herself Queen Nandi, and ‘handmaiden’ Kaura Taylor, who calls herself Asnat.
The group were served with an eviction notice last month as they were on private land.
The trio then moved their campsite over a fence to a neighbouring plot of land owned by the council.
On Wednesday at Selkirk Sheriff Court, Sheriff Peter Paterson ruled that the trio would not be able to return to the original plot of land they were evicted from.
Last week, the court also granted an order banning them from council-owned land, including the area they are currently residing in.

The group appeared unfazed by the latest court rulings, as on Wednesday they continued to reside in the patch of land they have claimed.
In a video posted by the group on TikTok earlier, Mr Offeh and Ms Gasho can be seen singing and dancing while being served with eviction papers.
Speaking after a sheriff issued a warrant for their removal, he said: ‘The creator of the heavens and the Earth is the one with us.
‘And we are not afraid of whatever the court – the so-called court – has granted.’

It was put to him that the order will soon lead to them being removed from the land.
He said: ‘Let them do their worst.’
The group claims Kofi is a descendent of David the Messiah, and say they are returning to Scotland to claim their rightful homeland after their ancestors were evicted from the Highlands 400 years ago.
Photos taken during visits by journalists to the camp show him acknowledging offerings of Irn Bru and shortbread.
Small crowds of people interested in the case were seen around the campsite, many of whom were documenting their experience live on social media.
