After winning the seat in his home constituency of Holborn and St Pancras, Keir was met with applause and well wishes.
One of those well wishers was Elmo himself, who reached out to shake the hand of our new Prime Minister.
The moment has gone viral online, with many poking fun at the absurd photo.
