World UFO Day has been celebrated by curious people all over the planet on July 2.

This has become a set day for many to discuss the possibilities of life beyond Earth and explanations for some questionable events on this planet.

Some of the country’s most famous potential alien sightings have become phenomena themselves.

A few of the best-known ones are Roswell, Area 51, and the Skinwalker Ranch.

THE ROSWELL MYSTERY

One of the world’s most talked-about questions stemmed from a U.S. Army Air Forces press release from the summer of 1947.

The document noted that they had discovered a “flying disc” from a ranch near the small city of Roswell, New Mexico.

Some believers have claimed an extraterrestrial spacecraft crashed into the desert, leaving debris and alien bodies.

The mystery has spurred rumors and ideas that this moment came to be a decades-long cover up by the government.

A local rancher reported finding debris in the area and had an intelligence officer, Jesse Marcel, come to the site and take more debris.

The mystery became rampant after the US military made a major u-turn 24 hours later and said the UFO rumors had been a mistake and explained the debris was from a crashed weather balloon.

Decades on, some people have still argued that the balloon crash was a cover-up for something more sinister or extraterrestrial.

AREA 51

This secret patch of Nevada desert land has been closed off to the public and is known to be a United States Air Force base.

The site was acquired by the Air Force in 1955 but the CIA had never acknowledged its existence until June 2013.

Although this area has never been declared top-secret, public visits are prohibited, and its ongoing activities are not shared.

Conspiracy theorists have shared all sorts of ideas as to what this space has been used for.

Some say alien spacecraft have been stored there and some suggest that evidence of the Roswell crash is also kept on the premises.

SKINWALKER RANCH

A remote cattle ranch located near Ballard, Utah, 140 miles southwest of Salt Lake City, was reportedly also the site of several UFO sightings.

People studying the site since 1911 have reported several unexplainable events like light displays, massacred cows, and flying saucers.

The 500-plus acre ranch has also been known for its unusually high radiation levels in its soil.

This mystery thickened when a real estate mogul named Brandon Fugal purchased the land in 2016.

Fugal claimed he had never experienced a paranormal event until several months had passed on Skinwalker Ranch.

“I bought the ranch as a skeptic,” he said.

“I had never seen a UFO, a ghost, an orb, or anything of the sort in my life.”

He explained what weird sight he saw months after he became the owner of the infamous ranch.

“We saw what can only be described as an unidentified flying object, a craft a forty, fifty-foot-long silver disc hovering right above the mesa,” he said.

THE VEGAS QUESTION

Not all of these famous UFO sightings have their roots in decades-old incidents or dramas.

A Las Vegas, Nevada, homeowner reportedly made an alien spotting outside of his property in 2023.

In a now-viral video, a bright blue light can be seen to have traveled across the night sky before disappearing.

An expert reportedly said the video was not faked and was authentic.

“Once you see it, you can’t deny it,” Scott Roder told News Nation.

“There’s no editing. That is an original video,” he added.

“We tried to debunk it to see if there was something that was added to the video. All of our results came back as it was authentic.”
