Another Archbishop Mitty girls basketball player is going Division I.
Senior Emma Cook, a complementary piece on what should be an absolutely stacked Mitty team in 2025-26, announced her commitment to the University of California, San Diego on Sunday.
Cook is not rated by the major recruiting services but also received offers from Boise State, Santa Clara, Pacific, UC Irvine and UNLV, according to Mitty girls basketball’s Instagram page. She joins fellow senior Devin Cosgriff (Michigan) as the two Mitty players currently committed to colleges.
UCSD is a program on the rise. The Tritons won the 2025 Big West championship and advanced to the Division I NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history this spring.
The biggest prize of the cycle for the Monarchs is five-star McKenna Woliczko, the No. 6 player in the Class of 2026. She holds offers from double-digit major programs and took official visits to Ohio State, South Carolina and Iowa over the spring and summer.
Mitty starts its season on Dec. 3 at the La Jolla Country Day Tournament in San Diego.
