A 57-year-old man is accused of killing a man and leaving him in a dumpster in West Englewood, according to a source.
Andre Lewis, who is expected to appear for a detention hearing later Tuesday, is charged with murder and concealment of a homicide in the death of Grayln Reed, 63.
Reed was found unresponsive about 10:15 a.m. Thursday in the 6900 block of South Paulina Street, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. According to a source, Reed’s body was found in a garbage dumpster.
An autopsy Friday determined Reed, of an unknown address, died of multiple injuries from an assault and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Lewis was arrested by police on Sunday at 2:23 p.m. in the 6900 block of South Damen Avenue.
