ASDA is recalling its Hot & Spicy Chicken Breast Slices packaged with the use-by date of May 30, 2025.
While the supermarket is recalling the product as a precaution, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) has advised anyone who has bought the chicken not to eat it.
An ASDA recall notice says: ‘If you have purchased ASDA Hot and Spicy chicken breast slices with a use-by date of May 30, please bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund.
‘You do not need your receipt. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.’
In its advice to customers the FSA said: ‘If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to your nearest store for a refund.

‘For further information, contact ASDA’s customer relations line.’
Other recent food recalls include Morrisons sausages over the fear they could contain pieces of blue plastic, ASDA pork belly slices after its ingredients were listed incorrectly, and Aldi’s baby potatoes over undisclosed allergens.
