ANTIOCH – A person is in critical condition following an attempted homicide Tuesday in Antioch, police said.
Officers were dispatched to Lone Tree Way and West Tregallas Road around 2:45 a.m. for reports of a person down in the roadway, Antioch police Lt. William Whitaker said in a news release.
They arrived to find a person “who appeared to have been involved in a physical altercation,” Whitaker said.
The victim received aid at the scene and was taken to an area hospital, Whitaker said.
The police department’s Investigations Bureau is investigating the incident as an attempted homicide, Whitaker said, and “no further information will be released at this time.”
