Colorado announced its six-game preseason schedule for the 2024-25 season Thursday, including games at home and on the road against Utah, the Dallas Stars and Vegas Golden Knights. Utah, formerly the Arizona Coyotes, has relocated to Salt Lake City. The franchise will be called Utah Hockey Club during its first season before announcing a new name for 2025-26 and beyond.

When the Avalanche travel to play Utah in its last exhibition game, Oct. 5, the contest will be at Maverick Center in West Valley City, a Western suburb of Salt Lake City. That’s the home of the Utah Grizzlies, who are the Avalanche’s ECHL affiliate. Utah will play regular-season games at Delta Center, also home to the Jazz.

Colorado’s three home preseason games are Sept. 23 against Dallas, Sept. 29 against Utah and Vegas comes to Ball Arena on Oct. 1.
