Baby boy fighting for life after being found injured & unresponsive at home as man and woman charged

A BABY boy has been left fighting for life after being found injured and unresponsive at home.

Cops rushed to the house in Seacombe, Wirral, on Sunday after reports of concern for a child.

Officers were called to reports of concern for a child at a property on Percy Road around midday, according to the force

The baby boy was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Klevi Pirjani, 36, and Nivalda Santos Pirjani, 33, both of Seacombe, have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and Section 18 wounding with intent.

Both were remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court today.

They have since been further remanded to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on December 23.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “At about midday on Sunday, we were called to a property on Percy Road to reports of concern for the child.

“The infant was taken to hospital to be assessed where injuries were found to his body.

“The boy’s condition is described as critical.”
