Here, you’ll find all the details from the weekend’s action in this news organization’s coverage area, which encompasses teams that play in leagues based primarily in Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.

Ranked teams

No. 1 De La Salle 47, No. 15 Clayton Valley Charter 15

Brayden Knight passed for two touchdowns and ran for a TD as De La Salle completed its second consecutive 10-0 regular season with a rout at home of Clayton Valley Charter, which fell to 5-5. Darren Sabedra has more details here.

No. 2 Archbishop Riordan 42, No. 5 Serra 35

Riordan won its first West Catholic Athletic League championship since 2000, overcoming a 14-0 deficit to win on the road over Serra, which was tied for first with the Crusaders entering the game. Adonyae Brown ran for three touchdowns and caught a TD pass to help propel the visitors. Christian Babcock has the complete story here.

No. 4 Acalanes 40, Las Lomas 28

Acalanes built a 40-7 lead early in the third quarter and went on to win on the road to complete a 10-0 regular season and 4-0 mark in Diablo Athletic League Foothill Division play. Deonte Littlejohn ran for 110 yards and three touchdowns in 23 carries and Josh Elerts added 60 yards and a touchdown in 16 rushing attempts and three catches for 29 yards and a TD. Defensive end Bryce Birdsong had one of the Dons’ two safeties, a sack and forced fumble in the end zone and a blocked punt. Acalanes also got four catches for 74 yards from Grant Ricker, an interception from River Lockwood and 11 completions in 14 attempts for 140 yards and a TD from Tyler Winkles. No. 6 Los Gatos 51, Palo Alto 7

The Wildcats (7-3, 5-0) closed out a perfect Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division season with a rout of visiting Palo Alto (0-10, 0-5). Grayson Doslak rushed for 88 yards on five carries and scored on touchdown runs of 17 and 33 yards for Los Gatos and teammate Callum Schweitzer completed 5 of 6 passes for 114 yards and three touchdowns. Also, Efe Acar was 7-for-7 on extra-point tries. – David Kiefer

No. 7 McClymonds 39, Oakland 6

Leading 12-6 at halftime, McClymonds broke the game open over the final two quarters to capture another regular-season Oakland Athletic League championship. Prince Staten had two of Mack’s five interceptions to help ignite the Warriors. Justice delos Santos has the recap here.

No. 11 San Ramon Valley 28, No. 17 Monte Vista 10

Cole Dawes threw two touchdowns passes to Max Lianides and ran for a TD as host San Ramon Valley defeated its Danville rival to finish the regular season 6-4 overall and 2-1 in the East Bay Athletic League’s Mountain Division. Cole Scott led a stingy SRV defense that slowed Monte Vista’s running attack and applied pressure on the quarterback. SRV’s offensive line also played well, opening effective running lanes. Monte Vista fell to 5-5, 1-2. – Darren Sabedra

No. 12 Archbishop Mitty 42, Bellarmine 0

The Monarchs (6-4, 4-3) wrapped up fourth place in the West Catholic Athletic League by shutting out the Bells (2-8, 0-7) at Mitty. Bellarmine suffered its third shutout of the season and extended its WCAL losing streak to 15. — David Kiefer 

No. 16 Campolindo 25, Miramonte 22

In a tight rivalry game, Campolindo emerged with the victory on the road as Zach Tabibian ran for a touchdown and kicked two field goals to help lead the way. Campo’s Reid Habas threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Everett Zellmer for the first points of the game and Micah Parker scored on a 3-yard run to give Campo a 13-7 second-quarter advantage. Miramonte ran only three offensive plays in the first quarter but led 7-6. David Roman’s pick-six accounted for Miramonte’s early touchdown. Campo eventually built a 19-7 lead before Miramonte fought back. The game was not clinched until a 53-yard Miramonte field goal try missed with time expiring. Sophomore quarterback Lane Dalton, filling in for Miramonte’s injured starter, played a great game, Campo coach Kevin Macy said. Campo improved to 8-2, 2-2 DAL Foothill. St. Ignatius 23, No. 19 Sacred Heart Cathedral 14

Tempers heated at midfield after time expired as St. Ignatius won the Bruce-Mahoney rivalry game over SHC at Kezar Stadium. SI built a 17-0 lead by halftime and held on down the stretch. Caedon Afsharipour passed for 165 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Wildcats. Evan Webeck has the game story here.

No. 20 Menlo School 21, Sacred Heart Prep 6

Sacred Heart Prep (5-5, 1-4) closed to within 14-6 on a 17-yard pass from Nico Pollioni to Charlie Ford with eight minutes left and had a chance to retake possession when the visiting Gators forced Menlo into a fourth-and-3. However, Menlo faked a punt and converted the play for a first down to keep a drive alive that used up the clock and allowed the Knights (8-2, 3-2) to score the clinching touchdown with two minutes left, on an 18-yard pass from Caleb Cohen to Trevor van der Pyle to capture the Valpo Bowl in Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division action. — David Kiefer

East Bay

Alameda 39, Encinal 0

Kirk Humbles returned an interception for a touchdown ans also caught a 60-yard touchdown pass and Hayden Arndt had three sacks and recovered a fumble to lead host Alameda to a rout of Encinal in the Island Bowl. Maxton Anstice added a 30-yard touchdown catch and Casey Koga-Dean scored on a 10-yard run. Aidan Sloan also scored a touchdown as Alameda improved to 9-1 overall and 4-1 in the WACC Shoreline Division. Encinal finished its season 2-8, 1-4. – Darren Sabedra

South Bay/Peninsula

Aragon 21, Hillsdale 0

The Battle of the Fleas went to visiting Aragon (5-5, 2-3), which earned its second shutout of the season in beating its Alameda de las Pulgas rival Hillsdale (3-7, 1-4) in a Peninsula Athletic League Ocean Division finale. Quarterback Isaiah Johnson passed for a touchdown and ran for another, covering 25 yards on a bootleg. The Dons also scored on Jaxson Sullivan’s 1-yard run after Aaron Pita set it up with a long return of the second-half kickoff. — David Kiefer

Leigh 31, Branham 27

The eighth lead change of the night was the decisive blow as Charlie Lyon threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Miles Huntington with 17 seconds left to lift host Leigh to a dramatic victory over rival Branham in BVAL Mt. Hamilton Division play. Huntington also scored on a 57-yard run, Blake Zanger ran for 145 yards and a touchdown and Toby Lauer caught an 86-yard TD pass to help lead the Longhorns. Lyon passed for two TDs and Huntington and Lochren Sullivan each intercepted a pass as Leigh improved to 6-4, 2-3. Branham fell to 5-5, 1-4. – Darren Sabedra

Live Oak 35, Christopher 17

Gage Jones gained 237 yards on 34 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead the Acorns (8-2, 3-2), who clinched at least a tie for second in the Blossom Valley Athletic League Mt. Hamilton Division. Christopher (5-5, 2-3) led 17-14 going into the fourth quarter, only for Adrian Leal to throw three fourth-quarter touchdown passes for Live Oak. Jones, the Central Coast Section’s leading rusher, surpassed 2,000 yards and has 2,207 this season. – David Kiefer

Mountain View 35, Los Altos 7

The visiting Spartans (3-7) beat their intra-district rival with the help of two touchdown passes from junior quarterback Ishan Devarapalli in the nonleague contest. A blocked punt returned for a touchdown allowed Mountain View to extend its lead to 28-0 before Los Altos (3-7) scored on a pass from Giancarlo Mendoza to Gavin Wu, who exceeded 1,000 all-purpose yards for the season. — David Kiefer

Willow Glen 23, Sobrato 18

Willow Glen captured the BVAL Santa Teresa-Valley Division championship, overcoming a slim halftime deficit to beat visiting Sorbato, which entered the game tied with the hosts atop the standings. Willow Glen ran 67 offensive plays to 22 for Sobrato. Glenn Reeves has the full story here.
