Bay Area man arrested for assaulting roommate with a scateboard

An Inverness resident was arrested on allegations he struck his roommate with a skateboard and a large flashlight.

The sheriff’s office received a report about the incident on Laurel View Way at about 1 a.m. Wednesday. The alleged attack happened after an argument, Marin County sheriff’s Sgt. Adam Schermerhorn said. He said the roommate suffered bruising and minor scrapes.

Anthony Michael Taravella, 32, was booked into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. His bail was set at $50,000.
