Half Moon Bay football player Brandon Melo is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Sept. 29-Oct. 4.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Melo finished with 45.7% of the votes. Mountain View football player Dom Kristof took second with 44.8%.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Melo threw two touchdown passes and intercepted a pass on defense in Half Moon Bay’s 48-0 win over Sequoia.
