Leland water polo player Calvin Sridhara is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Sept. 8-13.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sridhara finished with 73.2% of the votes. Wilcox football player Kai Imahara took second and Menlo School football player Palmer Riley was third.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Sridhara, a sophomore, had five goals and a steal as Leland rolled to a 16-6 victory over Harbor. He ended the week with 23 goals, 12 steals and nine assists as Leland has opened the season 7-1.
