Bay Area News Group girls athlete of the week: Tessa Lee, Carlmont golf

Carlmont golfer Tessa Lee is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Oct. 6-11.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Lee finished with 42.3% of the votes. Las Lomas flag football player Maggie Kruger took second at 18.1%.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Lee, a sophomore, led Carlmont to three league victories last week at Menlo Country Club, Poplar Creek Golf Course and Stanford Golf Course. Lee averaged just four strokes over par across the matches and earned low medalist honors in all three events. She has now claimed low medalist honors in six of Carlmont’s seven league matches this season.
