A bear that had been roaming the Broomfield area for at least 10 days was caught and relocated Sunday morning, Colorado Parks and Wildlife said.

With the help of a Broomfield Police Department drone, officials were able to locate the bear in a tree near Zuni Street and East Midway Boulevard, according to CPW spokesperson Kara Van Hoose.

The state agency darted and relocated the bear to a “better habitat” away from populated spaces, according to a post to X.

CPW received about three reports of this bear in the area, the first on Sept. 9, according to Van Hoose.
