Bears coach Ben Johnson stays coy about return of CBs Jaylon Johnson, Kyler Gordon

If the Bears are going to bring cornerbacks Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon back from injured reserve for Friday’s game against the Eagles, they need to make a roster move Thursday.

Coach Ben Johnson doesn’t sound interested in tipping his hand until then.

“We’ve got a plan in place for them, and we’re really right on track with what we’re hoping to get done with them,” Johnson said Wednesday. “So we’ll know soon enough.”

Johnson has played part of only one game this year — Week 2 in Detroit — because of groin injuries that have bothered him since before training camp.

Johnson tore the adductor muscle off his pelvic bone while working out at UNLV in July. He hurt a different part of his groin in Week 2 and had surgery.

Gordon has played in only two games year. He hurt his hamstring days before the Bears season opener and then was put on IR with a calf injury after the Saints game.
