Bears injury report: WR DJ Moore, K Cairo Santos among players estimated to be out Wednesday

The Bears didn’t practice Wednesday coming off “Monday Night Football,” but were required to file an injury report by estimating how much players would’ve been able to participate.

The biggest name on the list is wide receiver DJ Moore, who was hospitalized Monday after the Commanders game with a groin injury. The Bears said he would not have been able to practice.

All indications, however, are that Moore isn’t dealing with anything long-term and is trending in the right direction to be available against the Saints. He hasn’t missed a game in three seasons with the Bears.

Kicker Cairo Santos (quad), right guard Jonah Jackson (ankle), defensive tackle Grady Jarrett (knee) and linebacker Noah Sewell (concussion) were estimated to be out Wednesday as well.

Defensive end Austin Booker (knee) and running back Travis Homer (calf) were estimated to be full participants. Both are on injured reserve and had their three-week practice windows opened last week.

That’s business as usual for Benedet, who was overlooked coming out of University of British Columbia last year and landed with the Bears as an undrafted rookie.
ABC analyst Troy Aikman called D’Andre Swift’s 55-yard catch-and-run fortunate.
Neither player has ever faced the Bears. They traded Smith to the Ravens in 2022, and Jackson was out the last time they played at Soldier Field.
