Bears injury report: WR Keenan Allen, DE Montez Sweat limited

Two of the Bears’ biggest names were limited in the team’s first practice of the regular season, but no one was out.

Wide receiver Keenan Allen, whose absence was dismissed by the team as a shoe-related issue last week, was limited with a heel injury. Before practice, though, he said he felt good. Defensive end Montez Sweat was limited with a toe problem.

Others who were limited were offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie (quadriceps), center/guard Ryan Bates (shoulder), running back Roschon Johnson (toe) and defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin).

Wednesday was the first day that NFL teams playing Sunday were required to submit an injury report to the league. The Titans, the Bears’ opponent, had safety Jamal Adams (hip) out, and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (knee) and linebacker Otis Reese (concussion) were limited.

The Bears host the Titans on Sunday at noon (Fox-32).

Latest on the Bears
No one sat out Wednesday’s Bears practice.
Jones’ agent told him that at least one team had called the Bears and offered them a third-day draft pick for him before cuts last week.
The start of last season was alarming, and everyone pointed at Eberflus as his team plunged to 0-4 and spent the rest of the season chasing .500. He can’t let that happen again.
