Bears predictions: Week 14 at Packers

The Sun-Times’ Bears experts make their picks for Sunday afternoon’s rivalry game against the Packers at Lambeau Field (3:25 p.m., Fox 32)

Patrick Finley

Packers, 24-21 (OT): Sunday marks the third time in the Super Bowl era a 9-3 team is at least a six-point underdog in its 13th game. The Jaguars didn’t cover against the Colts in 2005 and the Giants covered and won the game against Washington in 2000. Season: 7-5.

Jason Lieser

Packers, 27-23: The Packers will be the best team the Bears face in the regular season and they bring a lot to the table on both sides of the ball. The good news for the Bears is they get another shot at them in two weeks. Season: 6-6.

Scoop Jackson

Bears, 21-20: How do you avenge a win? How do you show — on the field — that you are not the same team you were the last time Green Bay faced you? This is the one. The Bears “avenge” of the overdue avenge of last season’s last win. Season: 5-7.

Steve Greenberg

Packers, 27-23: The scales aren’t getting ready to flip positions in this rivalry as much as they’re getting ready to even out a little — and they will even out — but this one’s at Lambeau Field. A team as good as these Packers, who are 4-1 and coming off a thoroughly impressive Thanksgiving win in Detroit, has earned my confidence. Season: 8-4.

Mark Potash

Bears, 27-24: Normally, the Bears would be due for a return-to-earth loss in a tough road game after an exhilarating road win — especially at Lambeau Field. But this is anything but a normal Bears team or a normal Bears season. Season: 8-4.
