Bears predictions: Week 4 vs. Rams

The Sun-Times’ experts offer their picks for the Bears’ game Sunday against the Rams:

Rick Morrissey

Bears, 17-14: What says “Sunday fun” more than two teams with struggling offenses? The one thing in the Bears’ favor is that the Rams have given up a combined 91 points in three games. That happens when a player as dominant as Aaron Donald retires. This season: 2-1.

Rick Telander

Bears, 21-19: Starting off 1-3 would bring the wrath of fans onto the Bears like a fur fire. Bad, bad. As Travis Kelce seems more occupied with Taylor, podcasts, hairdos and more podcasts, the Bears have tight end Cole Kmet ascending. He should be Caleb Williams’ Kelce, a very good thing. This season: 2-1.

Scoop Jackson

Rams, 26-22: Simple: The Rams will ride the hype of their overachieving win over the 49ers better than the Bears will overcome the hangover of their underachieving loss to the Colts. This season: 2-1.

Patrick Finley

Bears, 24-18: The Rams have lost their last six games in the Central time zone, including a six-point overtime grinder in Detroit to start the season. This season: 3-0.

Jason Lieser

Bears, 23-20: The Rams are 16-21 since winning Super Bowl LVI, will be without their two best wide receivers and are allowing 30.3 points per game and a 127.3 opponent passer rating. This season: 2-1.

Mark Potash

Bears, 23-17: Williams and the Bears’ offense are a work in progress, but this is a good matchup at home against a Rams defense that has allowed 26, 41 and 24 points in its first three games. This season: 2-1.
