Bears to play Packers on Sunday at noon

Bears fans wondering when this godforsaken season will end have their answer: the Bears will play their finale against the Packers at noon Sunday at Lambeau Field.

The NFL announced the Week 18 slate late Sunday night after leaving it up in the air all season to ensure games with playoff implications would get prime TV slots. The Bears have lost their last 11 games against their rivals; their last win, in December 2018, clinched the NFC North — though safety Eddie Jackson suffered a season-ending injury while returning the game-sealing interception.

The Packers, who lost in Minneapolis on Sunday afternoon, already have clinched a playoff spot. Last year, the Packers punched their playoff ticket by beating the visiting Bears in the finale.

The 4-12 Bears have lost 10 in a row, the longest active streak in the NFL.

They would draft ninth were the season to end today by virtue of having the best opponent strength of schedule among the league’s five four-win teams.
