Bears WR DJ Moore seems OK after taking hits vs. Vikings, but other injuries linger heading into Lions game

Bears wide receiver DJ Moore appears to be OK after getting banged up against the Vikings, including taking a brutal hit across the middle late in the game.

Moore is not in the concussion protocol, which was an initial concern, but is dealing with abdomen and groin injuries. Nonetheless, the Bears estimated he would’ve been a full participant if they’d practiced instead of holding a walk-through.

Moore was the Bears’ leading receiver last season with 98 catches, 966 yards and six touchdowns and had a team-high 68 yards receiving against the Vikings.

The defense, meanwhile, got good and bad injury news Wednesday.

The team estimated cornerback Jaylon Johnson (groin and calf) would’ve been a full participant and linebacker T.J. Edwards (hamstring) would’ve been limited after both missed the opener. Johnson was limited all last week, and Edwards was out.

However, nickel cornerback Kyler Gordon (hamstring) remained out, and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett was on the injury report with a knee injury that would’ve kept him out as well.

Other than that, backup nickel Josh Blackwell (groin), running back Roschon Johnson (foot) and wide receiver Jahdae Walker (ankle) would have been limited.

Throwing accuracy and pre-snap snags remain a concern for Williams and the offense, and it’s going to be tough to fix them against the Lions at Ford Field.
Lions coach Dan Campbell told reporters this week that Johnson was “always going to be his friend,” but that it wouldn’t matter Sunday.
One customer, Matty, received a message from SpotHero, which apologized and offered to reimburse her, one of dozens who had their vehicles towed.
