Police are searching for a driver who struck a bicyclist early Wednesday morning in Englewood and fled the scene, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
The car, a black 2013 Ford Focus with Colorado license plate 814-ZRF, has front-end damage and was leaking fluids, state investigators said in a Medina Alert.
The crash happened at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 2700 block of South Santa Fe Drive and seriously injured the bicyclist, state officials said in the alert.
That section of road lies between the South Platte River and an RTD light rail maintenance facility.
Anyone with information about the crash, the car or the driver is asked to call the Englewood Police Department at 303-761-7410.
