A body feared to belong to a missing British tourist who vanished from his Spanish hotel has been discovered.
The body was discovered in Roca Grossa near the seaside town of Lloret de Mar at 4pm yesterday by a man walking through the woods.
He died no more than 48 hours before the body was discovered around 4pm today, the force said, according to local news outlet ElCaso.
Spanish police have yet to identify the man but suspect the body may be British holidaymaker Josh Rogers, who disappeared from his hotel in the popular seaside town over the weekend.

A well-placed source said it was ‘highly likely’ to be the tourist but stressed this afternoon they were still awaiting the results of tests.
Josh, from Bloxwich near Walsall in the West Midlands, flew to Lloret de mar on Friday from Birmingham Airport.
He posted a photo of a glass of Strongbow cider while he was at the airport Wetherspoons, saying: ‘Get me on that plane.’
Josh disappeared over the weekend, with his family rushing to social media to get help tracking him down.
His sister, Keely Roger, posted a desperate appeal in a local English language Facebook group yesterday, saying: ‘He’s gone on holiday to Lloret de Mar in Spain and hasn’t been seen or heard from in three days.
‘His phone is off and all his belongings are still in his hotel room but he hasn’t been back there for three days.’

Appearing to indicate police had been informed, the relative added: ‘Spanish and British police are aware Josh is missing. Let’s share and share this and get Josh found.
‘Something’s not right and his family and friends are worried sick.’
A woman describing herself as a cousin also posted an appeal before news emerged that the unidentified body had been found.
Police in the UK are understood to have been made aware of the discovery and informed Josh’s loved ones
