Body found in search for missing new dad Brandon Parfitt in Ebbw Vale

A dad of a newborn baby son has vanished - and his family are desperately searching for him.Brandon Parfitt, 28 (PICTURED) has been missing since Sunday evening with his family issued a desperate plea for him to return home.And they say the only thing they want is to see Brandon return home most especially for his newborn son who is less than two months old.Brandon last made contact with his brother Tristan Parfitt just two hours before the last known sighting in his home town of Ebbw Vales, South Wales.His family are becoming increasingly worried for Brandon's welfare as they say he "suffers with low mental health".Tristan said: "I last spoke to Brandon on Sunday at around 5.30pm."Since then family and friends have searched the areas of Ebbw vale, Tredegar, and Brynmawr."The police, so far, have not really got a direction of travel."They put drones up and helicopters but there is no real police presence on streets."Brandan suffers with really low mental health and so we as a family are just fearing the worst and wish someone would appear with some information or knowledge that he?s okay."Tristan and his siblings have been actively leading the search for Brandon via social media where he described how they are "going insane" because they "just want to know if he is alive".A spokesman for Gwent Police said: "Gwent Police is appealing for information to find Brandon Parfitt, 28, who has been reported as missing."Brandon was last seen in Market Street, Ebbw Vale, at around 7.30pm on Sunday, August 17."He is described as around 6ft with black hair and beard."He has several tattoos including cards/dice on his right hand, a lion on his left knee, '1996' on his right knee, and an unfinished sleeve on his right arm."Brandon was last seen wearing blue shorts, pink T-shirt, white shoes, and a hat. He has links to Brynmawr."Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call us on 101 or send us a direct message on social media quoting log reference 2500264652."Brandon is also urged to get in touch with us."WALES NEWS SERVICE

Police searching for a new dad from Ebbw Vale have found a body.

Brandon Parfitt, 28, was reported missing on Sunday evening and his family launched a campaign via social media as they became increasingly worried for him.

Brandon is father to a young son who is less than two months old.

Gwent Police also issued a missing person’s appeal after Brandon was last seen in Market Street, Ebbw Vale, at about 7.30pm on Sunday.

But the force confirmed on Tuesday evening that they had found a body as part of the search.

A spokesperson said: ‘We received a call that the body of a man had been found in Pontygof, Ebbw Vale, on Tuesday 19 August.

‘Formal identification has yet to take place, however, the family of Brandon Parfitt, have been notified.

‘Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.’

Speaking on social media last night, Brandon’s brother Tristan said: ‘If there is anything from tonight that I’ve learned, don’t hold a grudge, family won’t always be here forever. Tomorrow could be yours or their last.

‘Brandon, I f****** love you and miss you already. I promise I’ll look after mam.

‘Your little boy will know how great you were and how much you wanted to be there.

‘I love you and get a can raised with Uncle Lee, Conor and the rest of the family bro.’
