An 11-year-old boy was shot Saturday evening at a park in North Lawndale.
The boy was at Franklin Park, in the 1400 block of South Tripp Avenue, about 5:30 p.m. when someone opened fire, striking the boy in the lower back, Chicago police said.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.
No one is in custody, and Area 4 detectives are investigating.
