Boy, 12, killed in horror hit-and-run as cops launch urgent hunt for driver & tell them ‘hand yourself in’

A 12-year-old boy has been killed in a hit-and-run horror as police launch an urgent hunt for the driver.

Police confirmed that a boy, 12, died after he was hit by a BMW on Radford Road in Coventry at around 4.30pm yesterday.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics service the boy sadly died at the scene.

Police later seized a BMW involved in the crash but are hunting for the driver who fled the scene.

Sergeant Rich Evans, from our serious collision investigation unit, said: “We would appeal to the driver or for any of the passengers who were in the vehicle to do the right thing and to contact us. A 12-year-old boy has tragically lost his life and we need you to come forward and hand yourselves in.

“We are helping to support the family at this very difficult time as they try to comprehend what has happened.
