A man is in critical condition after being shot by a teen during an altercation with a woman in Kenwood Thursday night, police said.
The man, 33, was fighting with a woman, 33, when he pulled out a knife in the 4800 block of South Drexel Boulevard around 11 p.m., according to Chicago police. After the man pulled the knife, a 14-year-old boy shot the man in his shoulder, police said.
He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.
Police are speaking with a person of interest, and Area 1 detectives are investigating.
