A 14-year-old boy was recovering in fair condition following a drive-by shooting Tuesday evening in Belmont Cragin on the Northwest Side.
Around 7:40 p.m., the teen was outside in the 2900 block of North Parkside Avenue when he was shot in the buttocks by someone passing in a white vehicle, Chicago police said.
He was taken to Community First Hospital where he was in fair condition, police said.
Area 5 detectives are investigating and nobody was in custody.
