A teenage boy was shot and wounded Tuesday evening in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.
The 17-year-old was on a sidewalk about 5:10 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Washtenaw Avenue when someone fired shots, striking him in the left shoulder, Chicago police said.
He was taken to Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
No one is in custody, and Area 5 detectives are investigating.
