A young boy who survived a freak bouncy castle accident at his primary school has been tragically killed in an e-bike crash.
Lucas Reid, 15, from Tasmania in Australia, died after his e-bike collided with a pole on New Year’s Eve.
The tragedy comes only a few years after he sustained serious injuries from an incident involving a bouncy castle at his school, which killed six of his fellow pupils.

Lucas needed a wheelchair and spent weeks in the hospital after strong winds lifted the inflatable 10 metres into the air.
The bouncy castle was designed to be a treat for the kids, forming part of their end-of-year celebrations, but ended in tragedy after it was sent flying across the school’s grounds by the wind.
Locals refer to the incident, which happened just over four years ago, as the 2021 Hillcrest Primary School disaster.
The 15-year-old recovered from his injuries following the tragedy, but was named on Sunday as the victim of a fatal e-bike crash, local outlet Pulse Tasmania reported.

Minister Jane Howlett said her ‘heart goes out to Lucas’s family, his friend and his loved ones and all the Hillcrest community’.
She added: ‘It’s absolutely devastating, it really is. And we will continue to support the Hillcrest family and Lucas’s family.’
