Brewers’ Jackson Chourio exits Game 1 of National League Division Series

MILWAUKEE — The only thing that hasn’t gone the Brewers’ way on Saturday has been injuries.

Outfielder Jackson Chourio left Saturday’s Game 1 of the National League Division Series with right hamstring tightness after running out a RBI single that gave the Brewers a 9-1 lead in the second inning against the Cubs. Isaac Collins replaced Chourio as a pinch runner and replaced him in left field.

He missed a month earlier this season with the same injury — also suffered against the Cubs.

“It’s scary,” manager Pat Murphy said on the TBS broadcast. “It’s the same hamstring and so we’re worried about it.”

Chourio batted .270/.308/.463 with a .770 OPS in the regular season.
