A 15-year-old British girl is fighting for her life after she was hit by a paraglider while eating lunch with her family on holiday.
Lily Nichol ‘face planted’ onto the table while eating with her mum Lyndsey and sister Megan at the Oludeniz resort when she was hit and suffered a stroke after falling unconscious.
She has been left with a bleed on the brain, broken jaw, broken ribs and a possible broken back, and is recovering at Letoon Hospital in Fethiye, Turkey.
Lyndsey told The Sun: ‘I thought she was dead, I was screaming.
‘I was like where’s the ambulance and I was like “Lily keep talking to us, keep talking to us”.’
It was the final day of the family’s holiday, but Lily remains in hospital with her mum paying for accommodation, medical bills and taxis to and from the hospital.
Lyndsey, from Durham, said: ‘We were meant to fly home at 7.30pm, so today we went down for our last lunch together, having nice English food.

‘I just remember Lily just eating, biting into a slice of pizza and this paraglider just came from nowhere and just totally wiped her out over the table.’
Lyndsey, from Durham, said they did not have travel insurance and has set up a GoFundMe to help pay the £7,000 bill.
She said she saw the paraglider laughing and drinking with his friends after he collided into the youngster.
Police are also yet to speak to the family, she claims.
She said: ‘I just never want to go on holiday again I don’t think. I just want to wrap her round in cotton wool.’
A UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office spokesperson said: ‘We are providing support to a British girl and her family following an accident in Turkey.’
