British woman killed in jet ski crash at Costa Del Sol holiday resort
The woman is said to have been hit while jetskiing off Los Toros beach in Estepona, Spain
A British tourist has died while jet skiing after a collision with a speedboat allegedly driven by an intoxicated friend.
The 43-year-old, who has not been named, was said to have been on the back of a jet ski driven by her partner when the fatal crash happened off Los Toros beach, near the popular Spanish resort of Estepona.
Witnesses called police shortly before 7.30pm on Saturday after seeing the jet ski collide with a speedboat.
A well-placed police source said the couple ‘appear to have been hit from behind by a friend at the wheel of a speedboat’.
‘He failed a breath test after the collision so he’s likely to have been arrested but that is not something I can confirm at this stage’, the source added.
