SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The Broncos may end up being without a reserve lineman for the foreseeable future.
Fourth-year defensive lineman Matt Henningsen left Denver’s Thursday joint practice with San Francisco and is being evaluated for a potential Achilles injury, multiple sources confirmed to The Denver Post.
If testing shows a rupture for Henningsen, he’d likely miss the entire 2025 season.
A sixth-round pick out of Wisconsin in 2022, Henningsen was a rotation player for Denver his first two seasons before spending all of last year on the practice squad.
In his career, Henningsen’s appeared in 34 games — every game of the 2022 and 2023 seasons — and logged one sack and 40 tackles.
