A wildfire in the Angeles National Forest burned 75 acres Sunday afternoon, Sept. 8, prompting road closures and evacuations in the area.
Firefighters responded to the Bridge fire in the area of East Fork Road near Glendora Mountain Road in San Gabriel Canyon, the Angeles National Forest said on social media around 2:16 p.m. Visitors were evacuated from the forest above the Glendora area as crews called a second-alarm response.
Forest officials said Highway 39 was closed at the mouth of the canyon, and all of East Fork, Glendora Mountain and Glendora Ridge roads were closed due to vehicle congestion.
This is a developing story that will be updated.
