The Wild West and the classic stylings of a watch brand favored by Frank Sinatra might seem at odds, but that’s hardly the case with the new Bulova x Stetson watch collection.

Bulova x Stetson arrives at a time when all things Western style and Western-inspired are picking up serious steam, managing to bridge the gap between classically rugged frontier heritage and the refined art of watchmaking. And as Western mania continues to grip the country, Stetson is even honoring its historic past by partnering with Airstream and Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan’s Four Sixes Ranch.
In similar fashion, a new timepiece collaboration doubles down on Western style in eye-catching fashion. Released to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Bulova, the new duo of handsome timepieces nods to the Great American West while at the same time retaining the traditional hallmarks of crisply designed Bulova watches.

The shared heritage, although rather unlikely on the surface, actually brings the two families together via marriage: Louise Bulova and Ira Guilden tied the knot in 1930, and the two companies later started the Bulova Stetson charitable fund. Further bolstering a ” pivotal anniversary year for Bulova,” the new duo embraces where “precision meets the frontier,” Bulova said, with two new 39mm automatic watches offering exceptionally distinctive style that wouldn’t look out of place with a charcoal suit or with a faded Western shirt and a trusty Stetson hat.

Each new Bulova x Stetson watch features a “robust” 21-jewel automatic movement within its agreeably sized, silver-tone stainless steel case, topped off with a domed sapphire crystal. A black onyx cabochon adorns the onion crown on each timepiece, with two different dial options paying tribute to nostalgic history and scenery on the Western frontier. “Partnering with Stetson is a natural extension of our shared history and values—a beautiful blend of precision timekeeping and rugged, accessible American style,” said Jeffrey Cohen, President of Citizen Watch America.

A fleur-de-lis motif and a bold longhorn skull adorns the richly crafted brown leather strap option (dubbed The Longhorn), with the strap boasting intricate contrast Western-style stitching. The Stetson hat motif also makes an appearance, as each watch “celebrates the rugged elegance that defines luxury craftsmanship and the American West.”

The Bison timepiece, featuring a refined black alligator leather-patterned strap and a regal bison insignia on the dial, offers “a sophisticated yet determined aesthetic,” one that also wouldn’t look out of place whether worn with an elegant black suit or with a trusty chambray shirt. Priced agreeably at $750, the Bulova x Stetson watch collection channels rugged America’s heritage on the range, and now, on your wrist.
